Amtrak
This passenger rail service is going to be running through Marengo as an effort to connect the Quad Cities with Chicago. This service is apart of the Federal Government American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to bring high speed rail service to the United States. McHenry County is lobbying for an Amtrak station in the County. If they are successful, the station will end up in Marengo or Huntley.
