Parks and Recreation
Marengo Park District
Indian Oaks Park is 140-acre multi-purpose recreational facility. The park boosts a fitness center, pool, baseball and soccer fields, skate park, and 40-acres of trails.

Renwick Park and Ridge Park are both neighborhood parks with playgrounds. One is located in Doral Ridge Neighborhood and the other on the intersection of IL-176 and Prospect St. These parks are open to the public.
 
City of Marengo
Calvin Spencer Park is located northeast of the downtown. This park is maintained by the City and can be rented for family reunions, weddings and other events. The park is a pleasant place to enjoy the morning, afternoon, or evening.
 
McHenry County Conservation District
Coral Woods is a 407-acre park with over two miles of multi-use trails. The woods is comprised of many sugar maples and is known for a magnificent display of wild flowers.

Marengo Ridge
has over five miles of hiking and skiing trails through evergreens, hardwoods and natural prairie. This 740-acre park also has spaces in a campground and shelters for rent.

H.U.M. Trail
is a 3.5 mile biking and hiking trail between Marengo and Union. Plans are to extend the trail to east to Huntley and west to the edge of the County. The trail head is located on Prospect Street near the railroad tracks.
 
Marengo-Union Library District
The Marengo-Union Library is located in downtown Marengo and hosts a variety of special events. Residents can rent books, reading material and movies for free. The Library has high-speed Internet access for its patrons including wifi access. Check out upcoming programs and events on their website.
